Meteorological Predictions
Damp conditions were predicted to continue along significant areas of eastern Queensland this week as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coast.
Tuesday was forecast to be the heaviest precipitation period, with ongoing thunderstorm potential predicted across different parts of both states.
Health Warning
Public health experts warned that there was an greater possibility of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the countryside regions, especially given the existing atmospheric conditions.
This warning comes after historical occurrences where comparable situations led to major medical consequences in the state.
